What is Impact Polk?

Impact Polk is an annual competitive, donor-directed grant program of the GiveWell Community Foundation with the goal of addressing community needs throughout Polk County. Impact Polk grants often support a broad range of needs, such as arts and culture, education, health, and human services.

The Impact Polk 2019 grant cycle began on August 20, 2018 and closed September 10, 2018. 

Who Can Apply?

The GiveWell Community Foundation provides public organizations recognized by the IRS as described in the IRS Code Section 501(c)(3) as eligible for tax-exempt status, serving Polk County, an opportunity to apply for grant funding. Only one application per organization is permitted.

The current Impact Polk grant cycle is no longer open to accepting applications.

  • August 20, 2018: Open application process begins
  • September 10, 2018: Full applications must be submitted online by 5:00 pm
  • May 2019: Final grant award notices*
