United Community Needs Assessment

GiveWell Community Foundation and United Way of Central Florida have partnered to assess the needs of residents of Polk, Highlands, and Hardee counties. Over a span of two years, these two organizations worked together along with an independent consultant to gather, review, and analyze feedback and information. Residents from across the community explained directly what their needs were by filling out surveys in English, Spanish, and Creole and by speaking up at focus groups. Along with the feedback from nearly 4,000 residents, recent studies from third-party sources were also incorporated. The United Community Needs Assessment (UCNA) report results from that major collective effort. We are proud to share this comprehensive report as we work together to improve our community.
