GWCF’s capacity-building grant cycle returns for its fourth year.
LAKELAND, FL (March 1, 2021) – Starting today, eligible nonprofits may apply for Empower Polk 2021 funding. Because funding is limited, Empower Polk is available by invitation only to organizations who meet the grant cycle’s requirements for funding, which includes having an existing agency fund established with GiveWell Community Foundation. A full list of requirements can be found in the Empower Polk Guidelines available at empowerpolk.org. Applications must be fully submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 15.
Since 2018, nearly $300,000 has been awarded to local nonprofits through this grant cycle, helping them invest in capacity building and long-lasting improvements. Empower Polk is made possible thanks to generous fundholders and community partners like you who donate to GWCF’s Unrestricted Grants Fund. Please help us empower more nonprofits by giving to Empower Polk. To donate online, select Empower Polk from the drop down menu at givecf.org/donate. Donations by check can be made to the GiveWell Community Foundation with Empower Polk written in the memo line. GWCF donor advised fundholders may request a grant to Empower Polk from their fund.
