“In times of uncertainty, the strength of a community is measured by its compassion and resilience. The United Community Relief Fund exists to ensure that when our neighbors face hardship, they are met with swift, meaningful support. Together, we can turn moments of crisis into opportunities for hope and healing,” said Callie Neslund, GiveWell Community Foundation President and CEO.
“The United Community Relief Fund is a powerful example of what we can accomplish when we come together. Through strong partnerships and shared purpose, we’re able to respond quickly to urgent needs and uplift families during their most vulnerable moments,” said United Way of Central Florida President & CEO Christina Criser Jackson.

The United Community Relief Fund (UCRF) was established in 2020 by GiveWell Community Foundation and United Way of Central Florida in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, it has been activated to support nonprofit organizations serving residents in Polk, Hardee, and Highlands counties during times of crisis, including hurricanes and other emergencies.
