Thanks to GiveWell Community Foundation fundholders, 110 nonprofits received Impact Polk 2024 grants.
LAKELAND, FL (August 16, 2024) – GiveWell Community Foundation (GWCF) is pleased to announce that a total of $795,330 has been awarded through the Impact Polk 2024 grant cycle. Impact Polk is GWCF’s annual competitive, donor-directed grant program with the goal of addressing community needs throughout Polk County.
Thanks to the George W. Jenkins Fund, the Bell-Barnett Family Fund, the Leland Bryan Fund, and the Glen and Em Barden Fund within GiveWell Community Foundation, 110 nonprofit organizations received full or partial funding.
For this year’s grant cycle, 501(c)(3) organizations serving in Polk County were invited to apply for Impact Polk 2024 funding from September 11 – October 16, 2023. The Foundation received 140 applications requesting a total of more than $2 million. Impact Polk grants support a broad range of needs, such as health and human services, education, arts and culture, and animal welfare.
