Establishing an agency fund with the GiveWell Community Foundation can provide advantageous services for nonprofits. More than 90 local nonprofits have established funds with the Community Foundation.

Sharing the good news of your grant helps you publicize your organization and its good work, recognizes GiveWell Community Foundation and its donors, and promotes philanthropy. Please send a draft to our Communications Manager at shallett@givecf.org for approval before sending to print or posting online.

Please include an acknowledgement of GiveWell Community Foundation’s funding of your projects in your press releases, website, newsletters, brochures, annual reports, or other promotional materials related to the project.

Under IRS code, it is required that GiveWell Community Foundation be mentioned when acknowledging a fund within the Foundation. Please use the following language to acknowledge your grant from a Foundation fundholder:

Grants from a fund within GiveWell Community Foundation:

This project was funded [or “funded in part”] by a grant from the [Fund Name] within GiveWell Community Foundation.

Grants from the Empower Polk grant cycle:

This project was funded [or “funded in part”] by an Empower Polk grant from GiveWell Community Foundation.

Grants from the Impact Polk grant cycle:

This project was funded [or “funded in part”] by an Impact Polk grant from the George W. Jenkins Fund within GiveWell Community Foundation.

Grantees may insert the GWCF logo in place of “GiveWell Community Foundation.” GWCF logo files can be found below.

Materials are expected to have the GiveWell Community Foundation logo clearly visible. Please refer to the brand guidelines below to ensure proper use of the GiveWell Community Foundation logo. Black and white versions of the logo are available upon request.
