LAKELAND, FL (October 7, 2024) – GiveWell Community Foundation (GWCF) announced today that the Impact Polk 2025 grant cycle is now open. Impact Polk is an annual competitive, donor-directed grant program of GWCF with the goal of addressing community needs throughout Polk County. This year’s grants will focus on six areas identified through the United Community Needs Assessment: economic & employment opportunities; education; food security; housing/shelter opportunities; quality of life; and transportation/infrastructure.

Applications for Impact Polk grant funding are open to public nonprofit organizations that serve in Polk County, FL, and are recognized by the IRS as described in the IRS Code Section 501(c)(3) as eligible for tax-exempt status.

The Impact Polk 2025 application cycle closes at midnight on November 18, 2024. The original deadline of November 4 has been extended to provide additional time for those impacted by recent hurricanes.
