LAKELAND, FL – GiveWell Community Foundation (GWCF) has awarded $40,123.60 to Polk Vision thanks to the College Access & Success Initiative (CASI) 2.0. This funding will go towards Polk Vision’s work of improving students chances of finishing high school, getting into college, or finding immediate careers through job training and certifications.
Funding for this initiative comes from a combination of donations raised by GWCF and a $25,000 matching grant from the Florida Philanthropic Network (FPN). Through its College Access Success & Initiative (CASI) 2.0 program, FPN is engaging Florida community foundations in the work of Local College Access Networks. FPN’s Florida CASI 2.0 program is sustained with funding from the Helios Education Foundation and Kresge Foundation.
