Hurricane Ian Update: The United Community Relief Fund has been activated to in response to Hurricane Ian’s impact on our community. 100% of donations to the Fund will go towards helping residents of Polk, Hardee, and Highlands counties recover from the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.

To donate to the United Community Relief Fund, please visit unitedcommunityrelief.org. GWCF donor advised fundholders may request grants from their fund to the UCRF using the online donor portal

About the United Community Relief Fund

The United Community Relief Fund (UCRF) was established in March 2020 by the GiveWell Community Foundation and United Way of Central Florida in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to more than 300 individual contributions from our community, the Fund was able to grant $635,758.46 to nonprofits providing COVID-19 relief in Polk, Hardee, and Highlands counties.

The United Community Relief Fund remains active and ready to respond to future relief efforts that will improve the lives of the residents of our community.
