GWCF welcomes new Philanthropic Services Coordinator
LAKELAND, FL (November 2, 2020) – GiveWell Community Foundation announced today the hiring of Sara Hallett, APR, as Philanthropic Services Coordinator. This new position will work to bolster local philanthropy and awareness of the community foundation.
Sara graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and from the University of South Florida with a Master of Public Administration. In addition, she has earned the Accredited in Public Relations (APR) credential.
Sara has been providing public relations counseling and writing services for nonprofit, government, and business clients since 2002. Prior to that, she worked in the Public Information Office of the Polk County Board of County Commissioners.

Sara is involved with a variety of community and professional organizations, including the United Way of Central Florida (Women United), the Dick Pope/Polk County Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (past president), the Polk County Auburn Club (past president), and the Junior League of Greater Winter Haven (sustainer). Sara and her husband Josh live in Winter Haven, and their son is a sophomore at Auburn University.
