The DAR, founded in 1890 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America’s future through better education for children. The Lakeland Chapter is dedicated to promoting these values on a local, state and national level through our interaction with other organizations and the tireless volunteer work of our members.

Path to Freedom Fund

The purpose of this Fund is to provide support to the Lakeland DAR, in their efforts to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday and the Signing of the Declaration of Independence by erecting a monument in Veteran’s Memorial Park in Lakeland to honor America’s Path to Freedom with residual funds going to create ongoing educational programs in relation to Veteran’s Memorial Park in Lakeland, FL.
