Lakeland, FL (July 1, 2025) – GiveWell Community Foundation (GWCF) welcomes Barrett Hollis to the GWCF Board of Directors, effective July 1, 2025.
Hollis, who was unanimously approved at the final board meeting of GWCF’s 2024-2025 fiscal year in May, will serve a three-year term. “We are excited that Barrett agreed to join the Community Foundation’s board,” said Callie Neslund, GWCF’s President and CEO. “His passion for our community will be a great asset to our organization.”
Barrett Hollis is an entrepreneur and marketing professional with deep family roots in Lakeland. A 2008 graduate of Florida Southern College with a degree in Advertising, Hollis began his career at TMR Advertising Agency. He also taught middle school history for three years and coached a championship-winning golf team. As Marketing Manager at Boring Business Systems, he led impactful community events before co-founding Rec Room, a Lakeland arcade bar, in 2020. After successfully exiting the business in early 2025, Barrett is eager to further his family’s legacy of community engagement through service to GiveWell Community Foundation.
