The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our nonprofit community has been immediate and continues to grow. On March 20, the GiveWell Community Foundation partnered with the United Way of Central Florida to establish the United Community Relief Fund to aid nonprofit organizations who are actively engaging and supporting individuals locally during this and future community crises.

GWCF and UWCF surveyed local nonprofits to determine needs and then established initial priorities for a Request for Proposals for the UCRF funding. The first round of funding has been determined and awarded to eligible nonprofits in the amount of $310,000! As requests were greater than funds received, those nonprofit requests that did not receive funding in the initial round are listed below for further consideration.
