Impact Polk 2017: CareerSouce Polk’s “Gentleman’s Institute Program”

Funded by a GiveWell Community Foundation Impact Polk grant CareerSource Polk Board of Directors received an Impact Polk Grant for their “Gentleman’s Institute Program”. This week-long program is designed to address the basic necessities every young man should practice such as how to tie a tie and how to iron; how to accept/reject a gift; telephone and dining etiquette; proper grooming and hygiene; how to properly write a thank-you note; jobs, wages, and education; and more. The young men will learn in an environment where they can candidly ask questions and receive guidance from Polk County's business and community leaders to hopefully, one day, be a leader themselves.
