Winter Haven – Members of the GiveWell Community Foundation’s Leadership Council came together for their annual combined meeting on Thursday, August 31 at the historic Gram Parsons’ Derry Down building in downtown Winter Haven.

Board Chair, Suzie Moraco, opened the meeting by greeting the council members and giving updates from the Community Foundation. A new meeting format for the Leadership Council was announced at the combined meeting. Rather than monthly regional meetings, the Leadership Council will now meet quarterly in a similar combined setting.

Suzie then introduced the meeting’s keynote speaker. Liz Wooten-Reschke, MPA, president of Connectivity Community Consulting, facilitated a highly interactive workshop on “Getting the Most Out of Your Leadership Council Service.” By the end of workshop, each council member had the opportunity to speak and provide valuable feedback.

The Leadership Council was established to support and promote the mission and vision of GiveWell Community Foundation.
